Item Description
4-3/8x7" sheet on unlined paper has been dated Nov. 26, 1872. Handwritten letter has been penned in black ink by Alexander Graham Bell (1847-1922), inventor, scientist and engineer credited w/patenting the first practical telephone. He also co-founded the American Telephone and Telegraph Company (AT&T) in 1885. Letter acknowledges invitation for visit from Bell and he mentions he hopes the recipient is feeling better. Letter has two fold lines as mailed and comes w/small envelope that has been addressed in Bell's hand. Envelope bears Nov. 28 postmark and is missing stamp. Envelope is missing approx. one third of flap on back as opened. Fine overall. Letter has two small spots of moisture that affect text slightly, but letter is VF overall. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
