Item Description
7.25x19-3/8" artboard w/India ink original art for June 9, 1958 daily strip by Dick Tracy creator Chester Gould (1900-1985). Art features four panels, showing Sam Ketcham requesting lab work on evidence while Dick Tracy questions Miss Egghead. Third and fourth panel show Conchita rushing bird statue (in fact the murder weapon) to Tracy. Both Sam and Tracy each appear in just one panel. Gould has signed last panel. Third panel has Chicago Tribune copyright strip. Some printing notifications across top margin w/some staple holes across top/bottom margins, which show scattered dust soiling. Tiny spot of staining to first panel and faint area of glue staining on third panel. Art o/w remains clean and VF/Exc.
