Item Description
Original 8.5x11x31" tall cardboard shipping carton has silhouette image of Bat Masterson. ©ZIV Television Programs, Inc. Cc. 1959. Western themed TV show aired from 1958-1961. Bat was a dressed-up dandy (derby and cane), gambler, and lawman roaming the West, charming women and defending the unjustly-accused. His primary weapon was his wit rather than his gun. Made by Carnell Mfg. Co., Brooklyn. Carton has moderate aging/wear. Small square of surface paper missing from bottom due to  label removal at some point. Still retains original shape. VG and second we've seen. The impressive 51" tall store display including topper card has illustrations and text "Bat Masterson/Starring Gene Barry/Nationally Televised On NBC-TV/Twirling Cane." Silhouette appears on each side of display. Display has lt. aging/wear and is unused and complete. 15x27" topper has some lt. aging, minor edge wear and some trace soiling from storage. Displays Exc. Comes with full box of a dozen NM canes. Each cane has name "Bat Masterson" on top of silver luster plastic cane heads. Heads are attached to black painted wood shafts. Each has silver luster plastic tips intact. Complete, unused display is rare. The ultimate display piece for Bat Masterson. Only the second complete display we've offered in our 56 years, the other selling for $1,221 in 2008.
