Item Description
15x20" Crescent illustration board features pen and ink original art w/screentone accents for Oct. 9, 1972 concert that took place at the University of Iowa Fieldhouse featuring the Steve Miller Band and Joy Of Cooking. Poster design features cut out stat of hand pointing upward, surrounded by gradient rays of light. These are screentone accents, though the outlines have been hand-inked, as have spoked wheel designs at upper corners. Date/time and concert organizer text are transfers, which have some mild to moderate flaking. "Steve Miller Band" name is printed while Joy Of Cooking name has been hand-inked, as has ticket/admission information. Concert location at bottom center is also transfer w/flaking. Outlines of poster and within poster design have been hand-inked. Some scattered margin staining/aging w/.5" spot of staining to hand stat. Fine/VF overall. Comes w/15x18.5" file copy example poster featuring the art's design on metallic stock. Back has been signed in pencil by Scott Allan Ross. Poster has some scattered edge/corner tip wear and some scattered lt. rubs. VF overall. Unique lot with one-of-a-kind art for this rare Steve Miller Band poster.
