Item Description
"Los Luchadores Del Espacio," or The Space Fighters, was a long-running series of paperback sci-fi novellas published in Spain by Editorial Valenciana every 15 days during 1953-1963. A total of 234 novels were published, this lot features mixed media original art for the cover to No. 223, published in 1962. Thin artboard measures 6-7/8x9" and depicts unconscious spacewoman under glass, being observed by two robotic aliens. Title is hand-painted/lettered and neatly clipped out and glued to art as designed at bottom left and pasted stat of series title is missing at lower right, resulting in some scattered wear/paint loss at this area. Lower right has been signed by artist. VF/Exc. Comes w/reading copy of the novella this cover art was created for.
