Item Description
8.5x11" paper sheets w/copy of art for the Avengers #23-26 (Marvel, 1964) featuring early appearances of The Avengers w/Doctor Doom, Attuma and Kang by Don Heck/Dick Ayers that are hand-colored as color guides for the published reprint hard cover Marvel Masterworks books. All four issues have complete 20 story pages and covers. Color artist on reprint issues was Andy Yanchus. Paper pages w/"Marvel Masterworks #27 Avengers" written/stamped at top and marked up w/new color break notations. Used in Marvel Masterworks #27 that reprinted Avengers #21-30 (February 1994). Lt. aging/handling wear and overall clean. Overall displays VF. From The Archives of Colorist Andy Yanchus.
