Item Description
2.75x3x.75" deep thin cardboard box contains 2" dia. chrome case metal pocket watch. Ingraham, 1935. Box lid has wonderful image of Buck Rogers holding space gun w/Wilma Deering nearby and futuristic city in bkg. w/rocketship. Side panels have different images including Dr. Huer, Killer Kane, spaceships, etc. Comes w/instruction folder which shows obvious wear and is just Good. Complete w/original black/gold cardboard insert w/additional portraits of Buck, Wilma, Buck's rocketship and rocket pistol. This is typically missing. Lid has faint inspection stamp on main panel and all four corners are split. Bottom of box has two corner splits. VG/Fine overall. Insert shows some wear around die-cut area that holds watch. Fine. Watch dial has image of Buck holding pistol w/Wilma in foreground w/her hands grasping depressed circle w/seconds dial. Watch has copper luster lightning bolt hands and reverse side has incised image of one-eyed monster w/shield. Case has some lt. wear w/some brass showing through on back but retains much bright luster. Fine. Dial is clean and does not exhibit the typical color fade. Exc. Working. Classic Buck Rogers item.
