Item Description
Original 6x9.75x1-7/8" cardboard box has wonderful illustrations of Buck Rogers zapping robot on lid, w/illustration of gun and holster on box bottom. Box is complete w/all flaps. Top side panel has 1.5" tear at right edge and 1" line puncture. Slight .5" line puncture on main panel of box, which shows lt. scattered edge/corner tip wear and is evenly aged. Fine/VF. Box contains 10" long gun similar in style to Daisy's U-235 made in 1945 (see previous lot), this is gold variety only made in 1946. Gun works and produces a loud pop. Designed to spark, though flint is missing and no longer sparks. Flint is easy to replace. Red plastic panels appear in sparking chamber above trigger. Area above trigger on left side has embossed "Buck Rogers - 25th Century" logo w/small full body image of Buck along w/gun/company names. Gun shows just trace wear to raised portions of gun's design, w/all gold luster remaining. Exc. As nice as these come. High grade example, complete w/embossed leather holster and belt. Holster portion has embossed "Buck Rogers Atomic Pistol" name and space designs. Exc. Comes w/3x5" Buck Rogers Adventure Book issued w/set. Scarce as boxed and a much higher graded example than typically found.
