Item Description
19.75x27.5" heavy artboard has 15.75x22.25" painted original art for cover to Delta #48 (April 1984) mounted at center. Delta was a Spanish anthology magazine in the vein of Epic Illustrated or Heavy Metal. This issue has stories by Arnold Drake, Bob Wiacek and art by Brian Bolland, George Tuska and others. Back cover has DC ads w/Batman and Superman. Large and impressive cover art features winged centaur (whose body consists of cyborg horse legs and a motorcycle body) w/topless (but discreetly posed) blue female rider. Art features amazing detail and has been signed by artist Colls Nadal and dated 1982. Artboard has inked notation at bottom left, below art that reads "Norma Nadal 2 FT." Art has some minor warping as mounted w/lt. aging/wear to artboard, including creasing along top margin. Art could be matted and framed for Exc. display. Comes w/12.5x19.75" sheet of art paper w/fully rendered preliminary pencil original art for magazine cover. Stains to centaur's wing and at top, sheet shows some aging/wear w/.5" tear at top right, but still Fine/VF overall. Comes w/reading copy of the magazine this cover art was created for.
