Item Description
King Features produced 50 Krazy Kat cartoons from 1962 to 1964, most of which were created at Gene Deitch's Rembrandt Films while the rest were produced by Artransa Film Studios. Initially televised interspersed w/Beetle Bailey and Snuffy Smith cartoons to form a half-hour TV show, The King Features Trilogy. Offered here is a 11x14" studio-issued original printed model sheet featuring eight different full body views of Krazy Kat as well as two head sketches. These model sheets were used by the animators. Image at lower left has additional pencil detailing to eyes. Upper right has 4-1/8x6.75" piece of acetate sheet w/hand-inked/painted full body image of Krazy Kat measuring 2.75x4-1/8". This has been taped to model sheet w/aged piece of masking tape for reference for animators. Vertical fold at center of model sheet, which is Fine/VF overall. Cel remains Exc. Anything from these Rembrandt cartoons rarely comes up for sale.
