Item Description
8x10.5" four-page program for Detroit Tigers team birthday event that took place July 9, 1951 at the Detroit Masonic Temple. Program has been signed by total of nine, w/front interior boldly signed in blue ink by Detroit legend and HOFer Ty Cobb by his photo. Other HOFers who have signed include - Commissioner of Baseball (1945-1951) Albert Benjamin "Happy" Chandler, Larry Doby, Sam Crawford, George Kell and Charles Gehringer. Chandler and Doby have signed inside program while others have signed back alongside - Tommy Bridges, Pat Mullin and Billy Rogell. All have since passed. Program has attendee ticket glued to interior page corner. Program has heavy vertical crease, which runs through a few signatures (Cobb's is unaffected) and shows moderate handling wear w/some errant penciling on front cover. VG overall. Signatures are Fine to VF. Comes with Hake's COA and JSA LOA.
