Item Description
14-7/8x20" Crescent illustration board has pasted stat production art for concert poster promoting the Sept. 22, 1972 concert that took place at the University of Iowa Fieldhouse featuring The J. Geils Band, Albert King and Peter Frampton. Poster design is by Scott Allan Ross and when printed in offset fashion in dayglo orange, gave the appearance of lit neon sign. Back has black felt tip pen "U Of I C.U.E J. Geil [sic] Poster Artwork" notation. Production art has some scattered aging to pasted stat strips and aged piece of masking tape at top/bottom center margin. VF. Comes w/example of the actual poster production art was for, 13.5x19" on thin cardboard. Back has been signed in pencil by the artist. Exc. From the archives of artist Scott Allan Ross.
