3.75x6.5" First day Issue envelope trio stamped and post marked 1978 & 1981 each w/a blue ink penned sketch of a different character from the syndicated strip "Sherman's Lagoon" by Jim Toomey. The story of Sherman's Lagoon takes place in the fictional Kapupu Lagoon by the island of Kapupu. It is centered on the misadventures of a lazy, overweight great white shark named Sherman, along with his controlling, hot-tempered wife Megan and the friends and foes who share their tropical home. Sketches are of Sherman, Fillmore (the lonely bachelor sea turtle) and Ernest (the brainy fish of the strip). Sketches dated 1994. Lt. aging/wear. Exc.
