Item Description
2.5x3.5". The 1964 Topps Baseball set consists of 587 cards. Cards carry a large color photo blending into a top panel that displays the team name in bold lettering, while a panel below the picture carries the player's name and position. The set's low series #s 1-522 are easier to obtain than high series #s 533-587, and exists with two subsets: League Leaders and World Series.  Nelson Fox began his Major League career in 1949 with the Philadelphia Athletics as a speedy defensive-minded second baseman. From 1950-63, Fox would vastly improve his hitting while starring for the Chicago White Sox, leading the American League in base hits on four different occasions. Fox would finish his career with a batting average of .288 along with 1,279 runs scored and 790 RBI's. Fox was elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1997.
