Item Description
2-5/8x5.5" lacquered case. "Death Of Tecumseh Battle Of The Thames Oct. 18, 1813" scene depicts future Vice President Colonel Richard Johnson in violent battle scene on horseback. Detailed with uniforms, weapons, rearing horse, and lots of action. Johnson is the only Vice President appointed by the Senate. It is disputed as to his part in Tecumseh's death. Vibrant color w/scattered crazing throughout as is typical, as well as moderate surface wear seen in reflected light. VF.
