Item Description
23-7/8x30-1/8" particle board w/mixed media original art for front cover to VHS cassette box for early 1990s release of the 1923 Paramount Pictures silent Western starring J. Warren Kerrigan and Lois Wilson. Art was created by noted illustrator Charles David de Mar, an artist known for his fine art film illustrations, which were occasionally utilized for home media release such as the one offered here. de Mar utilized a very interesting style that almost captures Kerrigan and Wilson as if photographed seated on an old time covered wagon. de Mar has boldly inked his name on back of board along w/"Jan. 1990" date. Back of board also has his copyright inkstamp and additional inked date. Art has acetate and textured paper overlay attached at top; paper overlay having masking tape strip w/inked film title. Lower right corner of board has 1/8x.5" corner surface chip, but o/w rest of art displays Exc.
