Lot of three signed items related to the 1968 epic sci-fi film produced and directed by Stanley Kubrick, who also co-wrote the script w/sci-fi author Arthur C. Clarke. 3-5/8x6.5" first day cover (FDC) envelope for Pioneer/Jupiter - Marking United Stated Unmanned Space Accomplishments" has been signed in blue ink by Arthur C. Clarke (1917-2008) and in black felt tip pen (which has aged to brown in color) by Stanley Kubrick (1928-1999). FDC bears Mountain View, CA. Feb. 28, 1975 postmark and matching Pioneer Jupiter stamp. Exc. Glossy 8x10" shows actor Gary Lockwood w/Clavius Base in bkg. Lockwood has signed in black felt tip pen and photo shows some lt. scattered handling wear. VF. 6.5x10.5" comic backing board bears black felt tip pen sketch of spaceman in flight by Robert McCall (1919-2010) an artist known particularly for his works of space art and who created promotional artwork for 2001: A Space Odyssey. McCall has signed at lower right. Exc. An instant collection for this sci-fi classic. Comes w/JSA LOA and COAs.
