Item Description
32x48.25" molded thin plastic in very high relief has "Batman" comic book logo at top w/Batman and Robin swinging out on ropes at left. Both figures head toward 30.5" long Batmobile just below center. Upper right has "Send For Your Official Batmobile Scale Model Hobby Kit By Aurora - See Back Of These Burry's Packages For Details" text including Aurora and Burry's logos. ©1966 NPP Inc. Bottom has eye-catching 7.5x31" wide "Batmobile" name. Display shows moderate aging and dust soiling, notably to raised "Batman" name at top and along right side. Edges have series of 15 tack holes as display w/additional three at center, just above and below Batmobile as well as just below "Batman" name. Center of display has 1x2" area of dark staining. Batmobile has 1" and 2.75" cracks at left (center on front bumper) and 2" crack at right (rightmost tailfin). Additional 1.5" crack to first letter of "Batman" w/1.25" and 2.5" cracks below Batmobile. Edges have some small cracks; some coincide w/tack holes. Scattered black paint along top edge. Raised portions of display show some lt. scattered wear and Batmobile has two lines drawn on it, dividing it into quarters. VG overall though w/some degree of expected wear as display was of a fragile nature when it was made 50+ years ago. Display had very limited distribution, and was produced only for major grocery stores in larger cities. Simply put, one of the nicest Batman in-store promotional items ever produced.
