13.5x17.5" double-matted display contains four 4-1/8x5-7/8" color-guides for engravers printing illustrations to the first color editions of "The Adventures Of Grandfather Frog, The Adventures Of Johnny Chuck, The Adventures Of Danny Meadow Mouse" and "The Adventures of Peter Cottontail." These editions were printed in 1944 with exception of Peter Cottontail which was published in 1941. Panel features characters Grandfather Frog, Jerry Muskrat, Sammy Jay, Reddy Fox, Danny Meadow Mouse and Peter Cottontail. These prints are reverse image prints as they appear on the engraver's plates and have been colored with chromatic dye and numbered as such for engravers use.
