Item Description
15" tall hollow painted plaster statue. 1940s. For these carnival statues, the same mold was used for both Captain Marvel and Superman. This is version w/o incised "S" on chest. Statue is painted in Captain Marvel's yellow and red color scheme (cape has been painted red and is longer that seen in the comics), but w/these colors reversed and his chest does not feature the iconic lightning bolt symbol. Interior of cape and belt buckle have dark sparkle accents. Statue is free of any cracks or repairs and displays Exc. As nice as any of the few examples of this Captain Marvel carnival statue we've offered in our 57 years.
