Item Description
1-5/8x2-3/8". Cuban card from set distributed in packs of Diaz cigarettes. The cards in this set feature players from the 1923-24 Cuban Professional League. 85 cards are in the set, the largest and one of the scarcest of all 1920s Cuban card issues. Printed in dark brown with photo on front along with team and player name and position. Card back includes number and description of the series with offer for an album.

Nig Clarke was a Canadian professional baseball player. A catcher, Clarke played in Major League Baseball (MLB) for nine seasons with the Detroit Tigers, Cleveland Naps, St. Louis Browns, Philadelphia Phillies, and Pittsburgh Pirates. Clarke was inducted in the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in 1996. Designated by CSG as being from the "Richard Merkin Collection".
