Item Description
Original 13x33x4" deep Emenee Instruments cardboard box contains nicely designed 31.745" long hard plastic guitar. ©1956 Elvis Presley Enterprises. Emenee issued two differently designed boxes, this is simulated brown alligator skin box w/plastic carrying handle. Box does not feature secondary inner cover over neck of guitar as seen on other box design. Underside of lid has full body photo of Elvis playing guitar w/large "Elvis Presley Guitar" text. Box shows scattered edge/corner tip wear w/a few small surface indents to box lid and rubbed spot on underside of lid (across portion of Elvis image). Box is Fine/VF. Emenee produced this guitar in both four and six-string versions, this is the four-string variety. Body of guitar has a pair of 3.5x6.25" decals. One has Elvis photo and facsimile signature and the other has text "You Ain't Nothin' But A Hound Dog - Love Me Tender" plus images of hound dog and heart. The top of the neck reads "Emenee Official Elvis Presley Guitar." Complete w/all four tuning keys, four strings, original shoulder strap cord and hard plastic Emenee Chord Selector device (typically missing). Body of guitar features marbled plastic design. Decals are 100% complete. Guitar has pair of 1" hairline cracks to body of guitar where bottom metal piece connects to body, which was a manufacturing defect found on even the nicest examples, such as the one offered here.
