Item Description
"Los Luchadores Del Espacio," or The Space Fighters, was a long-running series of paperback sci-fi novellas published in Spain by Editorial Valenciana every 15 days during 1953-1963. A total of 234 novels were published, and this lot features mixed media original art for the cover to No. 166, published in 1960. Thin artboard measures 6-7/8x9" and depicts large space creature advancing on spaceman and Spacewoman. Title is hand-painted/lettered. "Colección Luchadores Del Espacio" title stat pasted beside story title. Left margin has hand-painted story title and "Joe Bennett" name. Artist name signed at lower right corner. Exc. Comes w/reading copy of the novella this cover art was created for.
