Item Description
Pair of 1940s stickers. 2.75x4-3/8" paper sticker w/gummed back was issued as Macy's department store sticker, designed to be applied to purchased items. Promotes their fall 1940 Superman promotion. Sticker features classic full body image of Superman w/"Macy's Superman Adventure" text. Sticker shows handling wear w/some creases and has .5" tear at center left. Fine/VF. Rare. 2x4" die-cut glossy paper sticker w/gummed reverse features classic and early full figure image of Superman w/comic book logo across legs w/"Tune In KECA 4:45 PM Monday Thru Friday - Eat Town Talk Bread" text. For Los Angeles, CA radio station. Another variety exists w/station call letters WHP and w/o bread imprint. c. 1940. Unused and NM. Scarce. Harry Matetsky Collection.
