Item Description
Original illustrated cardboard box contains 7" long by 5" tall painted pressed steel w/1.5" wide "Flash Gordon Signal Pistol" decal on one side. Marx, ©1935 KFS, Inc. Box is evenly aged and shows moderate wear w/edge creases, tears and small spot of tape staining. Missing two inner flaps w/1.25" edge tear. .25x.5" hole on top side panel. Good/VG. Rare box. Pistol came in three color varieties - green, red and lt. blue, as offered here. This color variety is by far the rarest of the three. Decal shows just trace edge wear, but essentially complete. Just a hint of aging and little to no wear. Gun works, producing loud siren sounds when trigger is pulled but no longer sparks. Flint can be easily replaced as holder pops up. Exc. overall and the nicest example we have ever offered of any color, let alone the most desirable of the three. Recent sales of the color variety have exceeded $5,000. Harry Matetsky Collection.
