Item Description
10.75x11.5" section of artboard features pen and ink original art published as part of the "Who's Who" entries for Detective Comics Annual #2, published by DC Comics Sept. 1989. Each entry featured half-page splash panel art for various popular Batman villains while accompanying text provided character biographies. Art for The Scarecrow is by Joe James w/inks by Karl Kesel. Art shows full body image of The Scarecrow looming at center w/hooded skull, snake and spider at lower left w/portrait of Scarecrow's alter ego Dr. Jonathan Crane. Additional action scene at lower right features small image of Scarecrow throwing fear gas at a frightened Batman. "Scarecrow" name is pasted stat. Back has DC copyright inkstamp. Exc. and art has been matted and is ready for framing. This was later reprinted in The Who's Who Omnibus HC Vol. 1.
