Item Description
Lot consists of complete set of 12 cards and full set of original art for all 12 cards. Issued by "Ediciones Barbal, Barcerlona" and from a series of "Classic Stories" cards sets (see previous lot). The cards are 3x4" w/choice color story art on fronts, bw story text backs. Tells the classic European fairly tale. Set number 12 in the series. Cards have lt. handling wear and trace of aging but are free of creases and art is clean. EX overall. The original art is 4.25x6.25" thick art board w/mixed-media fully painted images. Each of the 12 pieces of original art is signed by Enric Cervelló Bach, noted illustrator of many different such card sets, among other published work. Penciled card title and number on backs. Moderate scattered traces of aging, mostly to the blank margins. Art shows very little wear and remains bold and vibrant. Boards are Fine, original art is Exc. A one of a kind lot w/appeal to both collectors of non-sport cards and original art.
