Item Description
28.5x40" full uncut sheet contains 121 stickers (two full sets of 55 plus 11 additional). Long before Topps issued Marvel stickers in the 1970s, Philly Gum produced this set in 1967 (see next lot for full set). ACC# R788-10. Great art of various Marvel Comics characters including The Fantastic Four, Daredevil, Sub-Mariner, Doctor Strange, Spider-Man, Iron Man, Incredible Hulk, Thor and Captain America (w/multiple stickers for each character) along w/humorous text. Sheet has some hairline rippling, mostly to top left quadrant and top half also has some fine ink streaks from passing through the press. Both of these issues are printing defects and as made. Left edge of sheet has scattered traces of moisture staining and spotting. Overall sheet remains bright w/exceptional color. Noted defects do not detract greatly from the overall appearance and would look even better if framed. Fine. Rare and desirable item for both Marvel and non-sports collectors.
