Item Description
Lot of three pieces for this all-time classic Topps issue, two aluminum black printing plates and proof on card stock. First plate is 3.75x7" w/text "Space Adventure Bubble Gum/For The Sales Adventure Of A Lifetime...". Top left has a star burst around black rectangle (where card pack image would be inserted) and below this are two Martians, one using a telescope. Second plate is 2.5x3.5" w/photo image of a 5¢ wax pack of Mars Attacks cards. The two-sided printer's proof card has the design of the large plate printed in green on one side while the other side has wax pack image in black. This would have been used to advertise the product early on in trade publications/promotional material. Lt. wear but all remains Exc. Interesting and historic material, something unique for the Mars Attacks completist. Roxanne Toser Collection.
