Item Description
5x5.5" hand-stamped thick metal sheet in the shape of a heart w/pair of holes at top so this could be hung. Stamped text top to bottom is: 1910 Worlds Championship, followed by Phil. and Chi. and scores of all five games, followed by name and address of the artist- W. H. Ferris Worcester, Mass. The 1910 Philadelphia Athletics ball club ran away with the American League pennant, finishing the season with a record of 102-48, leaving them 14.5 games ahead of the second place New York Highlanders under National Baseball Hall of Fame manager Connie Mack. Philadelphia would then go on to dispose of the Chicago Cubs, four games to one, to win the 1910 World Series. Moderate scattered wear and aging but still Fine overall.
