Item Description
10.75x13" w/16 pages on newsprint titled "Aurora Comic Section." Special insert for the Dec. 5, 1965 issue of "The New York Times." Front cover features 11 different comic panels for the various Aurora model kits featured in this publication. Most pages are done in comic panel style. Contents are both bw and full color; one of note features MAD Alfred E. Neuman model and includes monthly calendar for 1966 (each month featuring different Neuman illustration). Other pages feature Jack Dempsey, Superman, George Washington, Babe Ruth, Johnny Unitas, page titled "The Monster Matchmaker" featuring Aurora's full line of monster kits, etc. Most of the comic panel pages feature a photo of the assembled kit. There are also two pages of company information including photos of children and their favorite models w/quotes. Horizontal fold at center as issued, insert has evenly aged and has some scattered edge/spine wear. Insert o/w remains clean and VF overall. Rare one-day publication, just the second we've offered in our 57 years.
