Item Description
2-3/8x2-7/8".  The issue consisted of 239 cards, with a 240th entry - the remarkably scarce Napoleon Lajoie #106 - produced in 1934 in response to consumer outcry and mailed to fans only upon request.

Burleigh Arland Grimes was an American professional baseball player and manager, and the last pitcher officially permitted to throw the spitball. Some of his career highlights include being an NL Strikeout leader in 1921, NL Wins leader in 1921 and 1928 and a World Series Champion in 1931. Burleigh Grimes was inducted into the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in 1964. The autograph on the card is well placed with slight fading. The PSA population report indicates that only five examples have been graded at this level w/only two ever graded higher.
