Item Description
Vintage 8.5x11" photo print on textured paper shows Jack Dempsey (1895-1983) and has been signed in black ink, Dempsey inscribing "To My Friend Bernard Kessinger - Best Of Luck - Jack Dempsey." 1930s. Photo shows moderate aging/wear w/three spots of staining and small pen mark to face, corner tip creases and tiny age spots in margins. Back has staining/residue at corners and top center as once mounted. VG/Fine overall. Comes w/JSA COA.
Known as Kid Blackie and The Manassa Mauler, Dempsey was an American professional boxer who competed from 1914 to 1927, and reigned as the World Heavyweight champion from 1919 to 1926.
