Item Description
Vintage 5.5x8.5" stiff textured paper program for "Marion Motley Day," a single day event held May 4, 1968 in Canton, OH in recognition of Marion Motley (1920-1999) being elected to the Pro Football HOF. Front of program features photo image of Motley carrying football and this image has been inscribed "To Jim - Best Of Luck - Marion Motley" in blue ink. Program has faint vertical crease at center and has lt. even aging. VF overall. Comes w/JSA COA. Great vintage piece to have signed.
Motley played for the Cleveland Browns (1946-1953) and Pittsburgh Steelers (1955) and was NFL rushing yards leader and NFL champion in 1950 as well as a member of the 75th and 100th NFL Anniversary All-Time Teams. Inducted into the Pro Football HOF in 1968.
