Item Description
Several different "I'm Rooting For" buttons were made for Jackie. This one is 1.75". No maker. Photo at center of Jackie in Brooklyn Dodgers uniform, text around rim. Jackie Robinson made his Major League debut on April 15, 1947 for Branch Rickey's Brooklyn Dodgers, becoming the first African American ballplayer in the modern Major Leagues. Robinson would go on to win the National League Rookie of the Year award in 1947 and would follow that up w/an NL MVP award two years later, in 1949. Inducted into the National Baseball Hall Of Fame in 1962. Scattered trace of oxidation on metal back. Front has lt. trace of wear seen upon magnification. Totally bright and glossy. Exc.
