Item Description
11.25x17.25" artboard features pen and ink original art by Joe Giella (1928-2023), a comic book artist best known for his work w/DC Comics as an inker during the Silver Age of comics, helping Carmine Infantino revitalize Batman's look. Art shows full body images of Batman and Robin running towards viewer, w/hand-inked "Batman" comic book title logo at top w/pasted "With Robin The Boy Wonder" stat at right. This has some scattered staining from glue, but o/w art remains clean. Giella has boldly signed in black ink at lower right. Exc. Regarding this piece, Giella's son Frank had this to say - "I Believe This Piece Was Done For A Batman Show That Was Held In The 1990s At NYC's Animazing Gallery Which Featured My Dad And Adam West."
