Item Description
10-5/8x16.5" artboard has pen and ink original art by Don Heck (1929-1995), w/inks by Dave Cockrum (1943-2006). Art is from fourth story - The Dreaded Deadline Doom - featuring X-Men's Sunfire. Published by Marvel Comics, Nov. 1989. Art is for last page of story/issue; page 32 and features eight panels, showing Sunfire using his powers to destroy Deadline's machine, saving Tokyo. Sunfire appears in all but one panel. Top margin has inked page number and has been trimmed, not affecting art. Left margin has inked note reading "Remove Red Lines," a reference to the red lines marking caption boxes. Scattered handling wear/aging but art remains clean and Exc. Nice example by Heck, one of Sunfire's co-creators. From the collection of Terry Kavanagh, former Marvel Comics editor/writer.
