Item Description
8.5x10.5" sheet of animation paper has pencil/blue/orange pencil original art depicting anthropomorphic anchor dressed as sailor, sitting on cresting wave w/anchor image flanking him at left/right. Insignia was for the Coast Guard Auxiliary 4th Naval District. Image area measures 7.75" dia. 1940s. Art is by Disney artist Hank Porter (1900-1951), who provided art for many Disney insignias during World War II. Sheet is evenly aged and has some scattered handling wear. Art is o/w Exc.
