Item Description
27x39.25" on thin glossy stock. Designed by Jamie Reid. Promoting the soundtrack album from the mockumentary film "The Great Rock 'N' Roll Swindle" following the Sex Pistols and manager  Malcolm McLaren. Poster is titled "Young Flesh Required" w/the design incorporating "Sex Pistols" credit card w/areas pointing out "The Artist (The Prostitute)," "The Business (The Swindle)," and "The Record Company (The Pimp)." Designer Reid stated that he was "trying to explain what the real relationships within the music industry are; just seeing the record company as nothing more than a huge pimp and the band as prostitutes." Amex sued Virgin and these posters were subsequently withdrawn from circulation and the un-issued copies were destroyed after a court judgment favored American Express. Faint bends in corners w/thin line of color break at top right. Otherwise minor edge wear and scattered handling. VF. Never hung and will frame to Exc.
