Item Description
19.75x29" screened on medium stock. Promoting a concert in England at University of Lancaster on Friday Feb. 8 featuring "Dave Edmund & Nick Lowe With Rockpile Plus The Fabulous Thunderbirds". Due to contractual complications between Stiff Records and Swan Song Edmunds & Lowe didn't record a proper album under the Rockpile moniker until 1980, though in 1979 the group recorded two albums together that were billed as solo artist, Edmunds' Repeat When Necessary and Lowe's Labour of Lust. They scored respective hits on each w/ Edmunds' "Girls Talk" and Lowe's "Cruel to Be Kind". This show occurred eight months prior to the release of their lone studio album, Seconds of Pleasure, under the name Rockpile. Minor edge wear and light handling from being rolled. Exc. Superb color and split fountain text give this striking visual appeal.
