Item Description
6x9" on thin coated stock. Tour blank handbill w/"Norfolk Municipal Auditorium Saturday February 12 at 8:30P.M." printed at bottom. High contrast candid portrait of Dylan w/a lit cigarette tucked into the edge of his harmonic holder. Scattered foxing in lower margins, a tiny 1/8" vertical tear at bottom edge and light even age at edge of the holder. VF. A striking design from the historically important tour that saw Dylan changing the course of American popular music. Attendees witnessed Dylan performing a traditional solo acoustic set followed by a powerhouse electric set backed by The Hawks, led by Robbie Robertson, who would later change their name to The Band. This tour is often rated among the most important in music history w/the electric sets sometimes being greeted w/boos from the folk traditionalists. Adding to the depth of history, the electric group was recording on off days, work that would be released on Blonde on Blonde.
