Item Description
11x16" DC Comics artboard has pen and ink original art for story page 6 of The Legend Of Wonder Woman #4, published by DC Aug. 1986. Art is by Trina Robbins (1938-2024), Wonder Woman's first female artist (see previous lot for brief biography). Art features six panels, showing Wonder Woman and former foe Paula von Gunta adjusting shrinking gas synthesizer before Wonder Woman and the Amazons mount kangaroos and shrink out of sight, entering the Atom Galaxy. Wonder Woman appears in four panels. Top margin has inked title, month of publication and issue number. Bottom margin has been signed by Robbins, who added "Hola John" personalization. Back has DC Comics copyright inkstamp. While portions of inking have aged, art remains clean and Exc. Robbins' published comic art is highly sought after and her Wonder Woman pages rarely come up for auction.
