Item Description
Double-sided 11x-1/8x18-1/8" T-shaped die-cut advertising sign for display in top of comic book wire racks. ©1961 Superman Inc. Once side features large image of "America's Favorite Candy" Tootsie Roll w/waist up image of Superman at left and "A Fine Product For Children As Advertised In Superman DC Comics!" w/DC logo at right. This is repeated on both sides of sign as is text for retailer suggesting "It's Time To Refill This Pocket With Superman DC Comics - Only 10¢" w/repeated DC logo and Comics Code Authority stamp. Side opposite Tootsie Roll candy has advertisement for "Tootsie Roll Ice Cream Bar." Sign has moderate corner tip wear and is Fine overall. Rare and desirable display sign w/few known examples.
