Item Description
2-7/8x37/8" blank card has been signed in black ink by John Philip Sousa (1854-1932), an American composer and conductor known primarily for American military marches, his best-known marches being "The Stars And Stripes Forever, Semper Fidelis" (official march of the US Marine Corps), "The Liberty Bell, The Thunderer" and "The Washington Post." Sousa has added "New York Jan '95" notation/date below his signature. Exc. Comes w/JSA LOA. Newton Powers Tomkinson Collection (see Featured Collection bio online).
