Item Description
7x10x5/8" deep box w/illustrated lid contains three complete puzzles by Reed & Associates, Inc. 1940s, copyright Fawcett Publications, Inc. Box lid shows the three included puzzles - "Famous Captain Marvel, Fuzzy Bear Enters The Ring" and "Marvel Bunny Saves Millie From The Falls." Puzzles are perforated and meant to be separated by user; all three puzzles remain unused. Captain Marvel puzzle shows Billy Batson and Captain Marvel alongside villains Dr. Sivana and Mr. Mind. .25" spot of staining but o/w Exc. Fuzzy Bear puzzle has one loose perforation but is o/w NM. Marvel Bunny puzzle has tiny spot of staining but is o/w NM. Puzzles come w/three 6.25x9.25" sheets to color, each featuring puzzle image. Each has tanned w/age and show some corner tip wear but remain unused. Fine/VF. Box lid has 6.5" piece loose (but included) and lid has 5/8" tear and 1.5" edge split to side panel. Bottom of box also has 6.5" piece loose (but included) and has edge splits. Box is Good/VG. While many of the Reed & Associates puzzle sets that were issued in envelopes are rather common, this boxed set is very rare, especially as complete and unused. First we've offered in our 57 years.
