Item Description
September 1960. Each artboard is 14x20" with pencils by Jack Keller and inks attributed to Dick Ayers but not credited. Story is titled "When Sam Hawk Strikes!" Complete seven page Chapter #1 story "The Trap Is Set!", storyline featuring Kid Colt being pursued by Marshal Sam Hawk and his posse into a cave. Lt. aging/handling wear. Kid Colt bar at top is a stat. Title is hand lettered. An aged tape spot on page 5 holding text. 1960 Comic Code stamps on page backs and ©1984 MCG reprint stamps. Exc. Jack Keller (1922-2003) was an American comic book artist best known for his 1950s and 1960s work on the Atlas/Marvel Comics Western character Kid Colt Outlaw.
