Item Description
Issued by the Exhibit Supply Co. of Chicago, measuring 3-3/8x5-3/8". As w/all of the other Exhibit issues throughout the 1920s, the 1921 series was distributed nationally via penny arcade vending machines. The set consists of 64 cards and includes 4 players per team for each of the Major Leagues' 16 ball clubs. "MK" as blank back has writing. Haines pitched his entire MLB career for the St. Louis Cardinals from 1920-1937, aside from one game w/Cincinnati in 1918. Elected to the National Baseball Hall of Fame in 1970. While tracking down a Jesse Haines 1921 Exhibits HOF rookie card can be a challenge, trying to find a signed example is nearly impossible. The bold signature presented here displays beautifully and the PSA/DNA pop report indicates that this is one of only three autographed ever graded by PSA and this is the single highest example.
