Item Description
10-5/8x16" artboard has original art by Dick Dillin (1928-1980), best known for his 12-year run as the penciler of Justice League Of America, drawing 115 issues from 1968 until his death in 1980. Offered here is original art from his first issue of that distinguished run, Justice League Of America #64, an issue that also saw the debut of the second Red Tornado. Published by DC Comics in Aug. 1968, art was inked by Sid Greene (1906-1972). Page 15 features four panels and is from "The Stormy Return Of The Red Tornado!" story by Gardner Fox and shows Red Tornado and the Golden Age Flash (Jay Garrick) battling T.O. Morrow's faceless androids. Story was part of the iconic Crisis On Multiple Earths storyline, which saw the Justice Society of America meet the Justice League for the first time during the Silver Age. Red Tornado appears in all but one panel, while Flash appears in every panel. Top margin has inked "J.L.A." title abbreviation, issue/page numbers as well as publication date. Back has Comics Code Authority inkstamp. Top/bottom margins each have pair of hole punches, none affecting art, which remains clean and Exc.
