Item Description
7.75x10.25" trimmed comic art board features original art by Steve Ditko (1927-2018) for The Hawk and The Dove #2, page 23, October-November 1968. Besides co-creating Spider-Man, Ditko worked for Charlton and also DC Comics, including a revamp of the long-running character the Blue Beetle and creating or co-creating the Question, The Creeper, Shade: the Changing Man, Nightshade, and Hawk and Dove. Art is for top half of page only as bottom half was an ad for Palisades Amusement Park. Storyline "Jailbreak!" by Steve Skeates. Three panel last story page features Hank and Don Hall (Hawk and Dove) recovering after a big fight. Page tightly trimmed to panel borders. Lt. aging/handling wear. Exc.
