Item Description
14.25x21-3/8" artboard has original art by Carmine Infantino (1925-2013), best known for his long association w/The Flash during the period fans and historians call the Silver Age of comic books. Offered here is the original art for page 27 of The Flash #117, published by DC Comics in Dec. 1960. Art was inked by Joe Giella (1928-2023). Six panel page is from "The Madcap Inventors Of Midway City" backup story (this issue's first story saw the debut of Flash Rogue Captain Boomerang) by Gardner Fox and shows The Flash racing to the rescue of the Three Dimwits (who are depicted w/a more than passing resemblance to the Three Stooges) - Winky, Blinky and Noddy. Flash appears in last three panels. Infantino and Giella have both signed bottom margin in blue ink. Top margin has pasted DC/title printed stat w/inked issue/page numbers. Back has Comics Code Authority inkstamp. Margins show some lt. aging but art remains clean and Exc. w/just small spot of faint aging to last panel.
